DTV turns on the spot beam // December 27th, 2001
DTV turned on their spot beams yesterday which is causing people to loose their 900 channels, this is what they wanted to do from day one was to give local channels to local area only and this new spot beam satellite is doing exactly that at this time.
Emulation attack again // December 21st, 2001
DTV sent another attack on emulation today that makes most of the emulators freeze or loose video here is info from RAM9999, the only thing that did not get affected again was the Wonderbox (down for 3 hours) which shows that these guys are not using freeware on their device, other working cards are REEBeL, Nova HU, Fixcard HU, SatCentral HU, Bigdadee HU and Ultimate HU all info is on my card chart. REBeL guys sent out the BS H card fix to the people who bought HU s/w of them I got a copy of this fix too and it is working good impressive work guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
H cards hashing // December 17th, 2001
It seems like there is H cards hashing going on, affected channels are 200s, I do not know much about it at this time because guys are not paying attention to H card stream at this time, I guess they should start doing it now:) update on the hashing it is bootloaders which is being hashed along with some emulation scripts and H cards, Wonderbox, some emulators and H cards (some scripts) working .
REBeL 3M fixed // December 14th, 2001
I got the code for REBeL software in today and it is working fine, I also got the working 3M card from Bigdadee too, you can check the card chart for working cards.
711 message on HU // December 13rd, 2001
DTV has been black listing ex-sub and virgin HU cards which is resulting in the error message "call ext.711" message on most of the activation scripts. This has been happening for 4-5 days now this cycle comes around every 20-25 minutes.
SFSInfinite wonderbox info // December 12th, 2001

DTV hashing again // December 7th, 2001
DTV hashed some more cards today including REBeL software I guess it is good time to see how the support would be. I also received a new 3M from a Ultimate HU guys they are from Montreal area I was told that they will serve that area only here is contact info on them ultimatehu@fastmail.ca their software was unaffected with this hashing along with NovaHU , Fixcard and SatCetral.
Reviews // December 3rd, 2001
First thing first Echostar receiver attack ECM fix is out plastic and AVR type. DTV black listed some cards few days ago to that causes the "ext 722" screen to fix that you have to change the bin on your card. I tested some products in last few days the first one is After Shock loader from http://dishchat.com/store2/index.html this little loader works GREAT everything is done on first or second glitch so far the fastest loader with the best price these guys also unloop/unlock dishnet/ech* cards in house and turn around should be VERY fast, 2nd item I tested is AVR daughterboard which can make your AVR to auto load the price seem to be fairly good on this product too.
Emulator1 guys came through // November 29th, 2001
I reported on emulator1 guys not returning my cards or calls few days ago I guess I jumped the gun on that one those guys came through and everything is fine here, they also sent me their new fix for Guardian which is working good with this new Echo ECM.
New DSS software // November 28th, 2001
I received a demo from REBeL software guys (they do not load cards they sell s/w to dealers) which is all open 3M all PPV and everything is open I switched the card between few different receivers it is all working fine, I will be adding this to my card chart for evaluation too if you have any questions here is their e-mail address REBeL. Little more information on the Ech* ECM from last night, Nagravision sent a command in the stream which verifies card with receivers if it checks 3M or AVR this stops receivers from activating with card and gives a nag message " receiver has detected a serious problem please call 1-800-..." there is no permanent fix for problem at this time but I am sure it would be done soon.

I have been receiving lots of complains on www.emulator1.com guys I tried calling and e-mailing them myself with no luck, I have sent them some HU cards to get unlooped over a month ago there is no answer on that either I think I lost my money and cards oh well :((((((( On a positive note I was informed that wonder box guys will be shipping out the orders this week, http://www.bigdadee.com/ guys will be shipping out Monday too.
Dishnetwork changes // November 15th, 2001
Seems like dishnetwork has sent out bunch of different commands through the stream in last few days that is why some people are having difficulties with their hardware and software. DTV is sending out hashing consistently for about 10-12 days now in result there are very few 3M cards working I received one from http://www.fixcard.com/ today and http://www.satcentral.com/ guys informed me that I will be getting theirs tomorrow.
More hashing // November 6th, 2001
There is more hashing in datastream starting around 10 AM this morning, here is detail write up from RAM9999 as always thank you RAM9999 I really appreciate your updates. I will also like to comment on Ech* Blocker code from Stunt Team, these guys have done a GREAT job on their blocker code which helped tons of people with last kill by Nagra, ECM is still going on in the stream if you insert a card without blocker on it your card would get kill in less than a minute I think all the end users should donate some $ to Stunt Team for saving your plastic.
Few working cards // November 1st, 2001
I received a working HU 3M card from http://www.bigdadee.com/ today and it is working fine for 6 hours now, it worked as soon as I put it in just changed the time on it and that is it, what I was told that there was not any working 3M out but this thing puts a twist to that theory:)) I also want to let you guys know about auto rolling software from echo emu guys for echostar/dishnet they sent me a file to make my Guardian auto roll I could not make it work I asked an other person to help me with that he could not make it work later on we found out it was the slower CPU which will not work properly with it we used 400 mhz computer and both units lit up like x-mass light, auto rolling is working on these guy's product sorry Angel you were right it was my old computer and slower CPU which was the problem.

Echostar aftermath // October 27th, 2001
Echostar/Dishnet guys did an ECM which stopped plastic with blockers on from auto rolling it also stopped auto rolling AVRs and killed plastic cards without any blocker on it (which should not be used at first place) I think Stunt Team needs a standing ovation on the great job they have done on the blocker software it saved LOTS of people's cards this software did exactly what they claimed it would do "stopped Nagra from killing or locking the cards" only thing Nagra could do was to stop these cards from auto rolling oh well I am sure these guys can figure out how to go around this problem sooner or later at this time you can manually enter the keys and watch TV, same goes with AVRs auto rolling is not working even though some dealers are claiming that they have it working (I tried but could not make it work).
Wonderbox is ready for sale // October 25th, 2001

Dishnet hashing // October 24th, 2201
Dishnet/Echostar sent out hashing around 2 PM pacific time, they sent the revision updates which did not set right with any board kind of hack or plastic with blocker on, it simply could not take keys automatically if the cards/board did not have right revision on, you can do a manual key change and have it going till the next key change. On DSS front all of the HU cards I tested are being hashed H cards with bootloader emulator or the Wonderbox are working flawless, SFSInfinite guys will have their site up tonight their webpage address is SFS Infinite all the guys who are asking me about this Wonderbox please go there and ask them about it.
More review and news "hashing begun" // October 23rd, 2001 Well to top off the week, I also did newest products. Both the GuardianX and the Phantom occupied my DishNet receivers last week. The GuardianX is an autoroll AVR-system that uses a virgin Rom10 S-Card as a slave. All you need is a receiver, and it's box-keys, a GuardianX and a virgin Rom10 (Rev. A16), to fully emulate the access card. I could not find a receiver it wouldn't work with!! Thefollowing week, (???), they had an autorolling AVR-type system, that uses their own version slave card.Yes, not a D*N* access card, but a generic white ISO7816 based access card, to emulate the EMM commands fully. All that was neededfor installation, for both versions, (as with their original Guardian), was a 3.68 mhz ISO programmer, my receiver and box keys, their script and of-course, the Phantom/GuardianX itself. Set the IRD info,box keys, timezone andaccess card #, insert the slave card,and started watching TV immediately. On the news front hashing begun at 10:23 AM pacific. Here is detail from RAM9999.

Review // October 22nd, 2001 Well, I had a chance to review a couple of products from the http://www.extremedss.com/ guys, last week. In all 4 separate products were shipped for review, 2 Unloopers, and 2 Programmers.The first was a 4-1 Unlooper, The Multi-fix, which includes a switch to disable/enable pin1 of the Atmel and a battery clip for true portability. I ran every function from H unlooper to HU loader to S card loader, and finally in Phoenix mode as a programmer. The unlooper handled it well, and I can say this is a great piece of hardware that was able to repair/load every card I threw at it.The second was their Extreme Mini Glitcher, and has to be the smallest unlooper I have seen yet. It too handled all the codes and loaded every card I threw at it. The size of this unit is amazing,and it's functionality was top-notch.The 2 programmers I received functioned as expected. The first, theExtreme ISO2, enclosed in a case, with a battery clip for portability also, automatically detects the frequency of the card inserted. No switches and worked flawlessly. The second Programmer, the Extreme Mini dual-mode Programmer, which has a switch to select the crystal frequency, performed well, loading everything from cards to AVR's. Again a small unit, SMT technology, And very reasonably priced.

Amazing machine // October 13rd, 2001
In July I wrote that a known group was coming with something that would turn the H cards into gold? Well, it was true; I’ve just received one of the most incredible units I’ve ever seen. It’s called the Infinite Wonder Box, and it is a completely stand alone plug and play emulator (you heard right, no diskettes, no computer needed at all!!) the size of a cigarette pack, that makes all other emulators look huge and old. You just put your H, card into the unit, BS on not, and it automatically cleans and places the Aux code in; then place the emulator board into the IRD and you can start testing TV in less than a minute. It looks innocent enough to be an emulator, and if I hadn’t seen it myself, I wouldn’t believe what the unit is doing. It has on its front a set of LEDs, on its rear a power supply jack, a reset switch, a USB connector and a RJ-45 plug to connect the card board that goes to the IRD (included), on its upper side an ISO 7816 card slot for connecting an H card. And that's it. No floppy drives, no bulk, no waiting for an operating system to boot, no ISO programmer or unlooper required. Everything is already built in. A windows program is included that will allow to change the emulator settings like Timezone, Zipcode, CAM ID/ZKT, and will allow for future updates of the software. The Infinite Wonder Box was scheduled to hit market by late September, but unfortunately with the tragic events that happened on September 11 on the US, production was delayed and will be ready for shipping on the first week of November. For those looking for an emulator I will strongly recommend to wait for the Infinite Wonder Box to hit the market. Cube emulator review // October 11st, 2001
This unit is sold by http://www.bigdadee.com/ and http://www.satcentral.com/ let me start by saying that I have never used an emulator before so I was not very comfortable when I got this to review, this unit came very nicely packed in foam and sturdy box it included everything I needed to run it power supply, telephone cord and software floppy unit is very small 8" by 4" that includes100 MHZ computer that is amazing, I followed the instruction auxed an H card and was watching TV in less than 5 minutes good job guys!!!!!!!!. On an other note there is lots of activity in dishnetwork stream for last few days that confirms my October 8th rumor it seems like that dishnetwork guys are planning to target autoroll AVRs and maybe TSOP locked receivers. DTV guys seem to be active too I think we will see an ECM on both systems soon (I hope not).

Here is update on HU datastream from RAM9999 "HU-Cmd81 (DSW Update) packets usually come down at a rate of about 25/minute. None have been seen for over 5 minutes. This could signal a new HU DSW Update package about to enter the stream.At 10/8/2001 1:46:22 PM Pacific." There is also a rumor about Dishnetwork auto roll AVR ECM in next few days I guess we will sit and watch it carefully.

Cards unlooped // October 3rd, 2001
I sent out some looped HUs and dishnetwork ROM3 cards to http://www.emulator1.com/ guys these cards were looped in 2-3 different ECMs some in January few after, I received these cards back within 5 days, HU cards were fixed and those cards did not have their original id on it (to me it is not a big deal) Dishnetwork cards were fixed with back to original id, few cards which were hit with last ECM (July) had crypto damage done to them so cards were fixed but after loading you need to put a fix on it I got emulator guys to 3M those with their own program which can not be dumped or read.
DataStream is constantly changing // September 25th, 2001
It has been crazy changes in datastream since last few days, I want to thank RAM9999 for keeping me posted on the changes I just received a notification from him this morning "HU DSW03 packets have re-entered the stream at about 8:40 AM Pacific Time at a rate of about 25 packets per minute.HU USW01 has also re-entered the stream at about 8:47 AM Pacific Time at the same rate of about 4 per hour."
More information from RAM9999 // September 24th, 2001
HU DSW03 packets had been coming down at 25/minute and now 50/minute with the doubling of the datastream rate. No HU DSW03 packets have been seen since about 2:16PM Pacific time. The DSW03 update sent down the dynamic code which was used for the previous Cmd82 hashing which stopped on 8/23/2001. The DSW03 packets are not really needed in the stream at this time since The dynamic code is not being used. This couldjust be "housekeeping" by removing it. However, it could be paving the way for a new, DSW04 package to be sent down which wouldcontain new dynamic code potentially usable for hashing or even a kill-type ECM.The DSW mechanism, unlike the USW mechanism, does notrequire the card to be at the latest DSW level in order to accept the next update. The DSW value need only be larger than the currentDSW level on the card.As always, these packets could simply re-enter the stream at any time. 3:30 PM HU USW01 packets had been coming down every 15 minutes (for a single group of 256 cards). No HU USW01 packets have been seen for almost 2 hours now (since about 2:09PM Pacific time).The USW01 update was first sent down on 3/29/01 as a means to disable the Cmd90 blocking that prevented the 1/23/01 DSW01 Cmd82 packet from killing cards running the 2nd generation input.hex file. The USW01 update packets have left the stream (and re-entered) before. Most notably, the USW01 packets left the stream temporarily shortly before DSW03 entered the stream on 6/26/2001. As always, these packets could simply re-enter the stream at any time.
Update from RAM9999 // September 24th, 2001
I just received this update from RAM9999, Thank you for this update RAM.
"Beginning around 7PM Pacific time on Saturday night (09/22/2001), packet rates on some channels doubled. Whereas a normal, average, per minute rate is anywhere from 180-250 packets per minute (with 250 being the average as of late), current rates are closer to 500 per minute. Not every channel is affected, however. Locals, premium movie channels (HBO, SHO, MAX), regional sports (Fox Sports) and some 200's and 300's have seen these new rates, but not consistently. The PPV channels, other 200's and 300's and the premium sports channels (MLB, NFL) remained at the lower 250/min. rates.There is
no clear pattern as to which channels are at which rate for any given time period. As stated the locals are at the 500/min. rate but were down at the 250/min. rate during football on Sunday.The increase is not in any specific type of packet but rather an across-the-board doubling of all public key packets. Blackout bit update packets, H USW updates, HU DSW updates and other, miscellaneous public key
packet types have all seen a near 100% increase in rate. Video Authorization packets and the accompanying Ins54's have remained at their 8-second intervals. Group-specific packets like tier adds/updates and HU USW updates have also remained at their slower rates of one packet every few minutes. This is not exactly an ECM in the true sense, but the increase in packet rate is significant enough to warrant attention. It is not necessarily an indicator of any other upcoming action either. The most immediate effect will be felt by those people running emulation. If you are using a slower PC or a marginal PC with packet snooping enabled, you *may* experience choppy video, IVAC (Insert Valid Access Card) or get a Call Ext 745 message. Any of these are possible if the machine's CPU gets overloaded by the stream activity."
HU review // September 18th, 2001
I have received new cards in last 4 weeks from most of the dealers who are on my page, it seems like most of the dealers are using private software on their HU cards these days I will comment on each of those cards, Bigdadee HU sent me their new HU 2 weeks ago I tried to read it with no success this card also marries to very first receiver it goes in. Fixcard I got their new card I could not read or write to this card. Insipid HU same old no communication I do not think there is anything new they have. Nova HU I got card from these guys 4 months ago this card went through all the hashings without any problem I can not read or write to this card. Sat Central these guys sent me their card 4 weeks ago this card is locked up too (can not read or write to it). SFSInfinite has been up and running for me for 5 months now. Private Card I got this one 2 months ago it is up and running no problem. Investigation on Vcipher // September 10th, 2001
I guess US law enforcement agencies are gathering more information on Vcipher again, I got 4-5 people writing me with same scenario they all got basically similar letters asking them to fill in this form and send it in, here is the letter, DTV is also implementing a new policy to cut down on piracy all the new receivers are coming without any cards in them, this will make it hard for people to get HU cards now, prices on HU cards are going up pretty fast.
ECM on dishnetwork 3M // September 6th, 2001
There are reports of ECM on Echo* 3Med cards I can not confirm at this time which cards are up and which cards are down because I am using SFSInfinite and EchoEmulator and those are all working fine. I got some Echo cards unlooped from EchoEmulator too and those cards work GREAT. I reported a while ago about this new device coming out which will turn your H cards into gold, well those guys got hold of me yesterday news is that I will get my demo box next week and these guys will be selling this self contained box starting first week of October I will review the box as soon as I get it. Update on ECM!!!!! There was revision sent to 02 and 09 cards there is also some changes sent to 01 cards too this could be heading toward a big ECM maybe???
Update on datastream // August 30th, 2001
Here is more information from RAM9999 on datastream " At about 10:15 AM Pacific time the DSW03 pockets that download the HU dynamic code re-entered the stream and resumed the previous rate of 50/minute. At about same time HU USW01 packets re-entered the stream at rate of about 4/hour. This does not mean "all is clear" just reporting the state of the stream at this time." I was informed by RAM9999 about change in datastream here is his actual quote "HU-Cmd81 (DSW Update) packets have been coming down at a rate of 50 packets/minute. None have been seen since 11:48AM Pacific Time. This *could* signal a new HU DSW Update package about to enter the stream. The new DSW update could be used for hashing or as an ECM - no way to know until/unless it happens. The DSW03 packets could, however, re-enter the stream at any time." ROM3 card opening // August 27th, 2001
I sent 2 locked ROM3 cards to http://www.smart3m.net/ guys 4 weeks ago did not get anything back from them so far either they do not have technology to do it or they are scamming people I have received quite few e-mails from other people saying that they are not getting anything back. I am going to send few more to http://www.emulator1.com/ tomorrow and I will post the result as soon as I see these cards back.
Speculation on code release // August 21st, 2001
The NOW freeware echoloader code was originally developed as a private system from a very small private group. I've been contacted by this group, and they informed me that one of their member betrayed the others and sold the secret behind the code to many people and dealers on the internet. This made Dishnetwork aware of the code and about this guy. He was then intercepted by Federal Agents and his way out was by making a deal with Dishnetwork by giving information about the members of the group, and giving out the source code. Some one (possibly dishnetwork) now released the code on the internet, in an attempt to ECM all card having this code. Dishnetwork cards that have this code are very easy target for ECM. First because code clones the card with one single CAM-ID so a CAM-ID specific kill could happened. Second, all cards have the same code on it. Third, even with blocker code on it, 3m code leaves some opened holes that could be used by Dishnetwork to ECM cards. So be careful on using this now freeware code, as it could be Dishnetwork's move in order to catch the more card on this upcoming ECM.
Not much to report // August 16th, 2001
There is not much for me to report lately that is why my news page was not updated so quit writing me e-mails about why, where, when if and when there is something to write about I will update my news :)))) Everything with DSS is working fine Ech* plastic was ECMed July 25th and few fixes came out right after there was also a rumor Bell Expressvu sending ECM few days ago I do not have anything to report on them nor do I care much to test or touch that stuff anyway so I can not confirm that report. I will be out of town till August19th if there is anything to report I will have my laptop to update my page but it is highly unlikely I will be answering any e-mails.
Hashing result // August 2nd, 2001
The only working card through this hashing time was Nova HU again this is the 2nd time their card went through the hashing, rest of the guys took care of their customers pretty fast too. I sent out few of my dishnetwork cards out to Fixcard guys to fix them I will post the result as soon as I get those cards back. DTV is going after test cards end users for last 4 months they are obtaining the records from raided dealers and sending out letters to their customers I guess just hashing is not enough:) Here is the "story"

I want to clear out some points about Echo* ECM too I had 3 different hacks for that system SFSInfinite, Smart 3M and Echo emulator out of these 3 the only working one left was Echo Emu I heard some people saying that I did not report on everything let us make this clear I only report on the product I am testing myself there was AVR board which did not get hit and Nagra Blocker (latest one) also stayed up but I do not have those 2 things so I can not report on them, I also want to let you guys know that my 2 cards which I sent to smart3m guys for Rom3 opening did not come back yet I sent those out about 4 weeks ago.

Echo cards ECMed // July 25th, 2001
Dishnetwork guys sent a killer ECM around 3:00 PM today which took down all of the plastic cards including SFSInfinite (which ran for 1 year without any problem for me) and Smart 3M (an other good one) the only working echo* stuff I have so far is Dishnetwork Emulation . I got majority of my HU cards fixed (you can check my card chart for working and non working). There is a rumor that HU unlooper is for sale asking price is around $25,000 USD I personally think it is waste of money at this time you can buy lots of blank HUs for that much money DTV will hit the cards with different ECM next round this unlooper might be just a paper weight :) Great job SFSInfinite!!!!! got the patch and my Echo* card is running.

DTV is hashing HU cards again I will let you know exactly which cards are being hashed as soon as reports come in H card updates were gone to 64-67 few days ago too. My down HU cards are basically all the cards except Nova HU.
Interesting news // July 19th, 2001
I was told by a well known group that they have come up with something VERY amazing which will shock the DSS world this will turn H cards (BS, dead or any) into gold:) they said this technology is developed by a very capable hacker out of UK I guess we will wait and see what happens. I received a unique bootboard to review from BigDadee it is same size as DSS card so it fits right into card slot and becomes invisible apparently there are only 2 dealers with this product BigDadee and Satcenteral you can go to their page and have a look at it. I also added the Echo* Emulator to my card chart.
Hashed cards are being ECMed // July 17th, 2001
I am receiving reports that HU cards which were hashed are getting hit now (killed), I will report on it as soon as I get more information on this situation. I just received an e-mail from Ram999 he said that there is nothing in the stream which points to ECM, he is truly an expert in this field so I will listen to him more than 8-10 e-mails I received from people claiming there cards are gone IVAC. None of my personal cards are hit but I am not using any hashed HU either.
HU hashing is spreading // July 13th, 2001
HU hashing which started on June 26th is shrinking and spreading every few days it seems to be spreading widely now channels 100s, 200s, 300s, 400s, 500s, 600s and 700s are targeted now hashed cards are experiencing lots of audio or video in some cases both, all of my cards seem to be working fine so far what it means is that if your card has a hash fix patch it is working fine this hash did not affect H cards or bootloader.
Datastream speed change // July 10th, 2001
DTV increased the data speed last night which will affect the emulators with slow computers or older emulator set ups I am not using any emulation set up so I can not tell you exactly what is going on currently but some people are reporting pixel, 745 and insert valid card messages the fix would be faster computer and newer files this speed increase is not affecting H, HU or bootloaders. Hashing moved to 300-400 channels? // July 5th, 2001
Some people are reporting that their cards are being hashed on channels 300s and 400s "please stand by" message on the screen, all of my cards are working fine at this time I will report on it little more when I find out the cause and type of software it is affecting. Dishnetwork emulation guys received tons of e-mails from end users they were over whelmed:)))) The e-mail below is for dealers only here is one of their dealer who is selling to end users http://www.hcardfix.com/ . Majority of the DSS dealers got fixes for the last hash, smarter dealers got their code re-written instead of using the usual cloning method. Fixcard guys told me that they will be selling HU card condoms which suppose to stop ECM they have all the details on their page on it.
More channels gone // June 27th, 2001
There are about 25-35 channels gone from the HU cards now my only un-affected card so far is Nova card. Jim from Fixcard said that they had few cards down which were old software from February (mine is affected) they got new software for this problem too, I really can not put the cards on Red dot because cards are not gone completely. Dishnetwork hole closed // June 25th, 2001
Dishnetwork has closed the hole which was discovered few weeks ago and it was all over the net as a freeware anyone who has used that technique knows that there was a mark left on their card which could be targeted in future, only company who claim to have the fix for locked out cards is http://www.smart3m.net/ apparently with their technique there is no mark left on the cards I sent out 2 cards to be opened I will report on those as soon as I get them back and test it thoroughly.

DTV stopped the hashing 4 hours after it started this leaves all the dealers and users guessing what the heck is going on? Some people think that DTV end up shutting their own subscribers off with this attack others think that the cards which came up with "please stand by" are marked next step is to kill those marked cards. I think at this point no one knows what is going on except them.

Subtle change in datastream // June 13th, 2001
Datastream loggers are reporting that there is subtle change in datastream which is very similar to January 22nd (just before the Jan 23rd ECM) what those guys are suggesting is to remove your HU cards till further notice. I do not have any answer for when, why and how:))) so please use your own judgment.
Dishnetwork Rom3 open // June 08th, 2001
There was a freeware file released today to open Rom3 (02) cards which were locked by Dishnetwork in last week of February 2001 this file will open your card but it also leaves a mark on the card which may help Dishnetwork to target those cards

Blockbuster shows on DSS // June 3rd, 2001
Blockbuster and DSS signed a deal few months ago which entitles DSS to play brand new releases on Pay Per View Blockbuster gets their cut out of the income as of June 1st DSS is showing those movies on channel 165 good movies with good prices!!!! There were some big raids on hardware dealers in USA they took down most of the big guys including White Viper I am sure these dealers will find their way back in business but at this time very few guys are left in business Mongoose& Emu-tech are the few surviving hardware dealers I know who are doing business at this time.
Conspiracy theory // May 26th, 2001
This may seem like story out of movie but it is not. There are 2 main satellite companies in USA one is DTV other is Dishnetwork both of these companies are very competitive with each other, these companies have hired security companies for themselves DTV has security contract with NDS (which is expiring soon) their rival company Dishnetwork uses Nagravision (swiss company) for their security this situation is creating competition between DTV and Dishnetwork for customer base in USA and for security contract for one or both companies between NDS & Nagra (which is up for renewal very shortly) DTV went after a well known American hacker few years ago forced him to sign a deal with them not to do any DSS cards again few months later their security company NDS hires this guy to work for them little while later this hacker comes out with Dishnetwork hack which is sold commercially all over the net since then, Dishnetwork/Nagra went hard after the cards by changing keys, ECMs and receiver attacks along with getting all information about the hackers when they found out NDS employee who was the master mind of this hack they stepped up their surveillance on him and his dealer who sold these cards all over north America they got enough evidences on those guys and came up with their theory they claim that their card (dishnetwork card) was hacked by NDS employee with NDS's help so at contract renewal time they can tell DTV that they are not only one whose card got compromised this can stop DTV to look at Nagravision as their potential security company over NDS this event infuriated Dishnetwok/Nagra they already have evidence on this hacker and his dealer they are trying to get these guys to admit their hack so they can launch a huge law suit against DTV/NDS or DTV and NDS, this shows you what goes behind the scenes sometime.

I got an e-mail from Insipid (new contact person) today advising me that they are taking care of their customers he said that any Insipid customer who has their card down can send them a good card they will load it free of charge when unlooping comes available to them they will unloop their customers card for 1/2 price which is $25 USD they asked me to send them few blank to get it loaded but I did not have any good HU so I guess I will wait till they can unloop mine this has nothing to do with me it is the message from Insipid so do what ever you guys want to do I am not telling you guys one way or the other. I also got a chance to test White Vipers T5loader/unlooper it is a good product it does it all you can load HU card using any script HU Pro, Eclipse etc... or flick a button it is ready to use as SU2, WildthingX etc... I found it quite handy.

I received my 5 cards back from Fixcard and those cards are unlooped I ran the cards for about 18 hours before reporting on them and everything is running fine the reason I did that is because there was a fix last week from another group which fixed the cards but between 8-12 hours cards got looped again and those cards were un repairable so I wanted to be extra careful reporting on this fix Jim has advised me that they are running these cards for 6 days. Lots of inquires about unlooping since I posted this morning I do not do this ask the guys who are doing it here is answer for the question everyone is asking too my cards do not have their original ids anymore I was informed that cards were badly damaged and the only solution was to clone them I do not know if they are cloning all the cards or just my cards were cloned.

I got an e-mail from unlooping guys informing me that their new unit will be available by the end of next week and this one does fix majority of the cards and cards do stay up after unlooping I will have little more on this by Wednesday. I also received call from Jim from Fixcard advising me that my 5 cards should be back to me in next few days and those cards are fixed I will let you guys know about that too when I receive those cards back as for fixcard customers who cold not get hold of Jim he told me that he is busy with fix wants to run the cards for 3 days before he releases anything he will answer all the calls when he is ready.
Unlooping myth // April 21st, 2001
There are tons of people claiming to have unloopers majority of them are asking people to send the cards and funds to get their cards done in reality not too many people are seeing anything back in their mail boxes. I personally have not seen a single unlooped card yet but a friend of mine in Vancouver got 10 cards done and all 10 went down within 12 hours after those were done and they can not fix those again what this tells me is that the unlooping technique is far from perfect so far and that is why we no one is getting their cards back yet if anyone says otherwise please prove it to me and I will report it on my news. I have sent 5 cards to fixcard on April 11th and got no card or reply back from them I have spoken to bunch of other so called unlooping dealers but no concrete answer on their device either. HU Eclipse software review // April 4th, 2001
I received a copy of HU Eclipse software which runs with HU loader to load the cards this software has lots of options which includes cleaning, cloning, dumping and activating (all open 3M) this is probably the finest cleaning utility for HU cards, dumping any card is a cake walk and cloning is very true to what it suppose to be (remember to save the original id when cloning) the best part of this software is programming:))))) this software makes the cards auto roll so it should work just fine in case of future updates here is e-mail address for the guys HU Eclipse

I just received HU loader from "TheNastyThings" it is by far the best loader I have reviewed so far I have done 10 cards with their software and loader and the result is 100% every card was done with very first glitch no problem cards are running fine with the updates too.

ECM on HU // March 29th, 2001
There is HU attack in the stream PULL OUT your cards till further notice. Keep your cards out and get in touch with your dealers for possible fix in next few days or so no fix is out currently and I think it might take little longer for it too because there was an update sent to HU cards which turn the counter from 0 to 1 I guess the experts will look into it to find out if it is safe to implement that into next 3M or not. This ECM was expected since HU loader codes were all over the net and DTV would not of overlooked it. My card chart looks bloody at this time:(
Bootstrap fix in // March 28th, 2001
Bootstrap fix came out last night it is a card fix as I wrote yesterday the hit was on the card not bootstrap please check in with your dealers about it as far as I know Fixcard, 99hu&bigdadeehave the fix and rest of the guys will have it shortly or in process of getting it.
ECM explanation // March 27th, 2001
Here is little more on yesterday's ECM that attack was targeted toward bootloader running Dynaceptor, Activator or any of the freeware files. I am sure the fix will be out in next few days one thing you got to remember is that bootloader itself did not get hit it was the card which got hit and fix will be on the card more than bootloader. I was checking out the guys who were interested in keeping PGM writing emulator software and was glad to see the gesture by www.dssbytes.com they decided to donate $ to PGM and going to send percent of the sales to the cause that is VERY good gesture. I did some more playing around with White Viperunlooper and figured it out to turn it into HU loader all you have to do is solder pin #13 & 14 together it works but let me warn you again any "freeware" stuff is NOT going to last very long so make sure you understand this before you jump into it head first.
Bootstrap ECM // March 26th, 2001
DTV is attacking on bootstraps at this time this makes bootstraps completely black out in most cases video/audio loss in some cases.
Dynaceptor ECMed // March 21st, 2001
There is an ECM in the stream which is targeting Dynaceptor at this time, make note that it is only affecting the H cards which are stand alone with dynaceptor, cards through the bootstraps or emulators are running fine. I just received HU loader from Kraken today, this is great loader with no piggy back and I find it work extremely quick, I did 10 cards with 100% success, I also received a bootloader, emulator and a dual mode programmer all of the product is professionally built and GREAT value for the money.
Atmel code reason // March 16th, 2001
There were lots of unanswered questions which are coming to light slowly but surely, everyone was wondering the reasons for Atmel dump by hackhu and how they got it, after looking at it what is going on now it is quite obvious. Atmel code and input hex dump was giving to them by the original guys who knew that their Atmel code was dumped by a second group, the original group knew that they have OP codes and everything else to put together few other files and start to rake in big bucks just like they were doing before the 2nd group came in picture, I personally think there is nothing wrong to do that, all they did is protected their personal interest and that is just fine with me and should be for everyone else but there are few things that are not right "the poor end users" who will see their cards going down very shortly because of the dump and also the original group's lack of support for dealers who purchased their HU loaders of them, they are not taking care of the guys who bought HU loaders of them, what they are saying is to buy their new unit which is $7000USD or more and who knows how quickly that software will be released on the net again when they feel that sales are "slow" again:) bottom line is hackhu did not do any good to anyone by releasing that code matter of fact it is going to cost all of the HU cards users lots of money fairly soon, hackhu put the card dump on their site too which was all over the IRC yesterday but that code is not good without OP codes there are VERY few guys if any who can do anything with it. it is like giving your troopers guns without bullets all I say is get ready to duck:(((
Little more info on Al // March 15th, 2001
As I promised you guys that I will keep on writing info on Al Trotter till he comes out and give all the cards are money back to customers which he took off with, here is his cell number if you want to say hi to him (204)774-1347. I was on Deejay's site today and read what he had to say about hackhu, dssunderground has been around for long time and he knows what he is talking about too read his March 14th news Deejay. HU ROM (Read Only Memory) was all over the IRC yesterday, I do not know what could be done with it at this time without OP codes but it is out, to write any private 3M or emulation you have to have OP codes along with card dump. I have tried the atmel codes with White Viper unlooper and got better result than the other unlooper I tried but I still got "invalid" cards which are ice scrapers at this time.
My thoughts on atmel code // March 14th, 2001
There is talk all over the net about this atmel code release here is what I think of this issue, first of all hackhu guys did not help anyone by doing this matter of fact they jeopardized the HU hack by releasing this code on the net. DTV was not too worried with handful people having this stuff but now anybody can potentially have it (most of people are screwing the cards with bad code or something like that) and rest assure those codes are going to be killed very soon the other thing this kid overlooked is that like anything else if no one is making money that means no one is going to take care of thing when time comes, it is going to be like H card and most recently emulator story, no support that equals to no TV. All I can say is this was a very short sighted move which is going to hurt lots of end users on long run.
HU codes or ECM help // March 12th, 2001
Hackhu guys released the atmel codes for HU last night along with software which is standing out like bulls eye, I loaded it on one of my loader tried it and had some success with it I ruined 3 cards to load one I guess 3 for 1 is not bad if I have few cards:) All the people who lost their cards and money to Black Sunday guys e-mail this gentleman who is their webmaster jpwelton@icenter.net he said that their company is going to look into it and they will get in touch with Al Trotter meanwhile they are going to shut down the page so no one can get scammed by Black Sunday .

Emulator freeware software is going to be without any support soon, PGM has decided that he will not support it because dealers are making lots of money on his software which suppose to be a freeware. I will be doing some reviews on HU loaders some expensive ones and some not so expensive ones to see the difference in performance, I will report on the performances as soon as I do my reviews on them, I did not receive EQ board or Black Sunday yet but heard some excuses which are not good enough, I sent my money for EQ on Feb 5th and it is about 1 month same goes with Black Sunday guys, Insipid guys are not doing good job of customer service either. Dishnetwork cards are giving lots of problems to load at this time too, some receivers work some do not work and you might have to get TSOP done to it. Jim from Fixcardinformed me that they got bootstraps in stock now.

Scams // February 27th, 2001 Black Sunday guy never returned my 2 H cards and did not answer any of my e-mails either I am positive he took off with it. EQ guy did not send my board either I ordered mine on Feb 5th and still waiting I do not think these guys are scams but they do have terrible service. There are lots of guys out claiming to have "original" HU loader and price range is quite extreme too ($4000-$15000) it is hard to figure out who is telling the truth at this time but "buyers be aware" is always a good practice buy from the reputable people and you should be fine.
Echo* news // February 24th, 2201
Echo Rom3 cards are no longer read/writable. Dish network sent down an update to the cards, even though the REV number is still the same at 372 (which means that you can not tell if card has been updated). If you attempt to read/write thru rom bug or use backdoor, it tags the card by writing in write once (OTP) area. The original e3m ECM tagged the cards, if you remember, then the next e3m ECM checked for tagged cards and screwed up the receiver...looks like they may be doing the same for anyone caught trying to "dump" ROM3 cards.If you have your box key your best option is to get a virgin card (which is not exposed to datastream) and get it done, once it is done you should not change anything on it. Tons of e-mail about EQguys, no I did not get my board or money from them so far yes these guys changed the web site but forgot to link it properly on their old page. Board in and Working // February 20th, 2001
I received 2 boards today, one from Big Dadeeand second from Sat Centralboth of the boards are working good with Black Sunday cards (I have one Hughes B2 receiver which does not work with this rest of the receivers work fine), I also received HU3M from both of the guys which should be on my card chart shortly, I am testing a dishnetwork card from SmartE3m too and it is on the card chart too finally all the red lights are turning green again:)
HU loader from Cando // February 19th, 2001
I just got word from Jim at Candothat they have a new exclusive state of the art latest generation HU glitcher/loader. They have units available immediately, no waiting. On the H card front I am still waiting for my "Black Sunday" fix cards from Winnipeg and also waiting for the board from EQ guy. I am waiting for Koin to call or e-mail about the un-fix cards he sent back to me, looks like he is out of this business but I can not confirm that.

Here are some issues on dealer customer services, people are complaining about, first one is Insipid technology I personally think they are running short on blank HUs and that is why customers are not receiving cards back as fast as they like to but that is just my opinion, I got few complains from customers and called Insipid guys about them, those guys were taken care of right away second one is Koin, lots of guys are saying that they are not getting any feed back from him, I called him 2-3 times with no luck, I e-mailed him 4-5 times with no answers yet I did receive my card back from him and it was not fixed, there was not any note with it saying one way or the other either, friend of mine sent him 6-7 cards and those cards came back "not fixed" so I do not know what is going on there either.
Nothing back from H fix // February 13th, 2001
I am still waiting for the "Black Sunday" fix cards to come back and also waiting for my order from "EQ" board to come in, I ordered both of these products on Feb. 5th and no news yet, I was out of town for few days so could not answered all the e-mails, if you have any important question and did not hear back from me please write again all the other guys who asked the same question, my answer is above:) I will write in this section as soon as I get any H fix back, so far "NO NEWS". On other news White Viperguys came out with their emulator board which looks very professional, I will post my results on it when I get to try one.
New fix // February 7th, 2001
There is a talk about H card fix which involve changing your unlooper by flashing it and then making adjustment to the pin. only certain unloopers will work with this modification White Viper (newer version), JT-tek (some) and Ul-pro (recent version) are compatible with this fix, not too many people are having luck with it so far, yes I have seen the file for last few days, No I have not try it I have sent my cards to get it fixed and did not get it back one way or the other yet.
Sent H cards out for fix // February 5th, 2001
I sent out my card to Black Sunday fix guys today and I will let you guys know the result as soon as I receive my card back from them, I also ordered a board from EQ boot loader guys and I will post the results on that too as soon as I get that back too for time being my suggestion to you guys is to wait and see how it goes. No News On H Fix Yet // February 3rd, 2001
The board guys e-mailed me yesterday saying that there is little delay in receiving those from the manufacture, there is another site out of Winnipeg saying that they got the H fix, I have e-mailed them and got the reply back which is still un-clear, I offered them to send 2 cards and money if they can fix I will let everyone know if not I will post that too, I never heard back from them after that offer, I do not think there is a way to fix those cards without board but I would love it if they can prove me wrong. Here is a request to my readers, all of you who got cable modem you guys can not go to my site using http://www.dishnewsonline.tv/ because my site is banned as a pirate site, I do not sell anything and I do not provide any files to do anything, on the other hand you can go to child porno sites and other terrible sites no problem, if you are using cable and can not log into my site using http://www.dishnewsonline.tv/ call your cable guys and complain please, you are paying lots of money for internet and they should not be able to dictate what you want to do with it.

Well, the site has undergone a major facelift as I am sure you can see. Hopefully this should be a little easier to navigate. Thanks to Venom for putting in the time to completely redo my little site!
Board in making // January 31st, 2001
I have been in touch with a few guys who have their board in production which should work with Sunday's ECM'd cards. You have to understand that it does not happen right away. The guys that made the plans tried it with software, tested with different hardware (ird, unlooper, programmer etc...) and then sent it out for production. You guys have to learn to be patient, as it will not come out right away after ecm. Now on HU card, there was 1 group who made the HU loader/glitcher, it went out for sale middle of January and soon after it was hacked too, the hackers sold it to lots of dealers too claiming that it was the real one then came the ECM, original guy went to work and released a patch shortly after with a password protection in it, what this did is stopped the clone loader/glitcher guys from loading their HUs because they do not have software or password.
HU 3m fixed // January 27th, 2001
I have received a call from from Guardian (formerly known as Cando guys) that they got new working software for the HU cards. It is about time we heard some good news! :) I'd also like to let people know that Koin's newer version of ech* software never got affected with the last ECM, I had older software on my personal card and that went down. If you received your card from him in the last few weeks those cards are working fine.
There is some hope // January 25th, 2001
I have been hearing some rumors about possible fix on the dead H cards for few days now but today I talked to someone who confirmed it (do not ask me where and who etc....I will post it here as soon as it is ready) this is what I have been told; you get a board similar to a DAT or a DDT and program it with bytes from 8000s. Now you can stick your card in it and insert that in your system. What it does is emulates the bytes which were attacked by DTV on Sunday, and it is working. A few guys have the boards and stuff in production and it should hit the market soon, so hold on to those supposedly dead H cards. There is an other method on the net which seems quite drastic, it requires removing the EPROM from the card and scratching the affected area. Apparently that works too but please remember you are taking a chance on this one it might destroy your card if not done properly. Slashdot has a good article to read on the DTV Attack

This morning around 5 am Dishnetwork attacked at the 3M cards too. If your card is ok at this time quickly pull it out. This is the only time in 3 years I got no TV :(

t does not look like there will be any fix on the H cards, if there IS going to be one it will take a while. Here is a story from a Winnipegnewspaper, it was sent to me by one of my readers. Thewww.fixcard.comguys called me this AM to announce that their HU software is ready, and all info is on their page.
Cards are down // January 21st, 2001
DTV just hit the cards hard, I think the yare down and looped. There is only a little information on this black Sunday. The ECM came around 8PM and it hit the 8000 area of the card which is apparently a one time write only section. What this means in plain English is that the cards are looped severely and there is no fix asof yet.
Interesting news // January 21st, 2001
There is some great news coming up regarding an HU unlooper and echo* unlooper (including 01 card fix which no one can do at this point). I can not write too much about it at this time but keep your eyes and ear open:) Some loggers have claimed to see some hashings in the datastream, I do not see any yet so I do not care:) I am also thinking about putting some advertising banners on my site to cover some of the cost, can you guys please give me your input on it?

My page got transferred to a new web host provider finally! I have been receiving lots of e-mails from people who are inquiring about an HU hack, I wrote it before that "yes it is working and to my knowledge it is a legit hack." If you do not have an H card and/or you are stuck with a DTV plus receiver it might be good idea to look into it I have 4-5 units frominsipidtechwhich have been working fine since the middle of December with no problems. You have to remember if your card goes down you have to send it out to your HU dealer and get it fixed, you will NOT be able to do anything to it yourself at this time. On the other hand if you have an H card and an older receiver it is like a blank check at this time, do what ever you want to do with it and I do not think it will be swapped in near future, DTV is adding software updates to new receivers, those receivers show ext752 message (check out cards term documents underneath my card chart) when you use H cards with it and that is their way to get rid of H cards slowly If you hang on to your 4th gen. or older receivers you are doing fine. On the echo* front Koin has been keeping in touch and I was told that the cards should be ready to go back to customers by end of coming week, there is no fix for looped 01 cards yet. Echo*3M guys have yet to answer any of my e-mails. If any of ech*3M guys are reading my news please write me.
Hashing // January 8th, 2001
DTV has expanded their Jan 2nd hashing to rest of the channels today (it was being hashed on channel 100 only at that time). Any 3M card which is using a jump point lower than 8D1A is getting hashed. Activation cards are working fine. On the echostar front people are still waiting for their cards back from dealers, 02 series looped cards are getting fixed as we speak (that is what I am told) and should be back to customers by next week, no fix for 01 looped cards yet but the 01 cards which are not looped can be loaded with new software.

Watch out for Vcipher // January 5th, 2001
Buyers be aware of the old scammer Reg (aka TTK) who has ripped off thousands of people in his hay days. I was one of his victims, and that was the whole reason I started my site so I could warn people about him. (Then he got busted, I guess I should give credit cuz something good came out of something bad:)). I did not like 99king much because of his terrible customer service and bad attitude but you gotta respect him for his pioneering of unlooping services. But good old Reg is a straight out thief who rips off new people. He will charge an arm and a leg to begin with then he will try to sell you a 1 year warranty (what a crock of sh**). When you get hit it will be looting season for him, as he was one of the very first to discredit the HU hack and the first dealers (insipd) who were selling it. Guess what? He is now selling HU (at almost double of the price of other dealers), I do not care who you guys buy it from but make sure you do your homework before you spend a single penny, it is a good idea to thoroughly check things out.

It seems that any 3M that skips the copy routine from 8D0D-8D19 is being hashed by CMD52.. So, I did more testing and: Jump point at ****, jump back to *****, get video Jump point at *****, jump back to 8D2D, no video.. Wonder if they'll spread the CMD52 to the other channels soon...?? Such 'hashing' would affect any 3M that jumps before or during the 8D0D-8D19 routine and jumps back to 8D2D or some other point without executing the 8D0D-8D19 routine as intended.. Common public jump points such as 8D0D, 8D11 and 8D14 would be blacked out.."
